Special Event
Kumeu River Wine Dinner

Mention the world’s greatest Chardonnay producers and sooner or later, the conversation arrives at Kumeu River. It lies just half an hour north-west of Auckland, where for more than three decades, the Brajkovich family has been quietly crafting some of the world’s most compelling Chardonnays. The 30 hectares of estate vineyards consist of deep clay over sandstone that retains moisture naturally. Chardonnay is whole-bunch pressed directly to French oak, where indigenous yeasts ferment the juice before around 11 months of lees ageing. The wider wine world has long since caught on, with Kumeu River repeatedly appearing in Wine Spectator‘s Top 100 Wines of the World.

Join us on Monday the 17th of August as we welcome one of the world’s greatest Chardonnay estates, and the benchmark for Chardonnay in the Southern Hemisphere, to Bacash. Book now.

Special Event
Chatto Wine Dinner

Jim Chatto is a Senior Wine Show Judge and was the Chairman of Judges for the National Wine Show of Australia. In 1998, Jim moved to Tasmania, where he fell in love with Tasmanian Pinot Noir and a girl named Daisy. Today, their Isle Vineyard is located in the Huon Valley at Glaziers Bay. Warm, well-drained but in a cool region, right on the edge of viticultural possibility. In 2019, after escaping bushfires to work in Burgundy, Jim was announced the 2019 Gourmet Traveller Australian Winemaker of the Year. Chatto has since returned to harvest in the Huon, expanding their range of Pinot Noir to ten wines.

This Tuesday 11th August, join us as we welcome Chatto Wines to take us through a special, 5-course degustation of Pinot Noir. Book now.
